Radiohead

If you’ve never heard of Radiohead, I suggest you go check them out. They’re amazing.

Recently, though, they’ve gone and done something even MORE amazing. Their latest album, “In Rainbows,” is available for download from their website, for free (as in beer, for those of you who keep score). http://www.inrainbows.com/ – They are allowing us, the consumers, to choose how much we want to pay for the album. Incredible.

The best part is that they’re actually making money. More money than they’d make at EMI (their old label), to boot. Rock on.

They even allow “poor” college students to enter 0.00. How incredible is that?

We have yet to hear how successful they’ve really been, but how could you not be “wowed” by that? :)

I thought that was pretty cool myself. We’ve been listening to it at work. I’m not super into the album yet–it has yet to hook me good and solid–but I might chip in some money just because I think experiments like this should be rewarded.
